First Sunday of the Month Service
We had a wonderful service this past Sunday. The worship time focused on the joy we have in our hearts as believers even though we are facing many difficulties. We sang some original songs George wrote: “Enter His gates with a thankful heart”, “I’ve got the Joy of the Lord in my heart”, and songs written by others. We had communion and the focus around the Lord’s table was about the cleansing and transformation we have received through the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. We also are able to represent Jesus to a lost world because we are new creations in Christ.

I was remembering a vision the Lord gave me when I was a young man of fourteen or so, while celebrating the communion elements. As we examined ourselves I saw myself standing at the foot of the cross. As I lifted my head I saw Jesus hanging on the cross bleeding and dying. All of a sudden several drops of blood had fallen from his right nail pierced hand and landed on my forehead, immediately my head felt different, lighter clearer. Then the blood ran from my forehead down into both eyes, it stung a bit at first but then stop burning as quickly as it began, I saw more clearly than ever before.Then I could smell the blood as it flowed past my nose and quickly filling my lips, its salty flavor burning my lips and tongue, my mouth became clean. Finally, I was walking away from the cross with blood dripping off both hands, leaving footprints of blood wherever I walked.
We also had a baby dedication and closed the service in prayer. It was a great time in God’s presence.
