Mother's Day Service
We had a wonderful mothers day service with a beautiful time of worship followed by something very special. Usually we ask one of the men or young men to share a short exhortation about the blessing of mothers. This year we asked the everyone present if they would like to share why they are thankful for their mother, grandmother or wife. Using our portable wireless microphone in the congregation,...

The National Day of Prayer
On Thursday May 3, we gathered to pray on the National Day of prayer. We followed a list of prayers that came from Intercessors For America which is part of their program “Saving America Through Prayer.” http://www.ifapray.org/ We believe that the principles listed in 2 Chronicles 7:14 are part of how we are to pray today. ” If my people, which are called by my name, shall...

Our apologies for not having a more recent update! Here are a few of the things that are going on: On February 22, we started a Wednesday morning men’s bible Study that meets twice a month. We are averaging 17 men attending. Some are retired and some are just free on Wednesday mornings. We are having very practical discussions based on a book we are reading called “Growing Old in the...

New Years Day Brunch
Happy New Year to everyone! Many churches were uncertain if they would have a meeting on New Years day because so many people are awake until the early morning hours on New Years Eve. Rather than just schedule something, we asked our members if they would like to have a later service starting at 11:00AM and then have a brunch. We were overwhelmed with the response! About 110 people came including...

Thanksgiving dinner served
We served about 30 people from the community this year. There were a few very needy folks but most were lonely elderly people who had no one to share the holiday with. There was plenty of home cooked food and everyone took containers home with them for another meal. Our thanks to all those who cooked and served! Click the home button on the right to see photos. (note, we did not post pictures of...

Healing for the Broken
We had an amazing meeting with Michael Ferris this past Sunday. His ministry is called A Journey to the Potters House (http://www.ajourneytothepottershouse.com/). He actually brought a potters wheel and demonstrated though forming clay how God works in our lives. It was one of the most powerful and encouraging presentations we have ever experienced. We would recommend his ministry to everyone.

First Sunday of the Month Service
We had a wonderful service this past Sunday. The worship time focused on the joy we have in our hearts as believers even though we are facing many difficulties. We sang some original songs George wrote: “Enter His gates with a thankful heart”, “I’ve got the Joy of the Lord in my heart”, and songs written by others. We had communion and the focus around the...

Services with Owen Carey
We had wonderful meetings on Saturday and Sunday morning June 25 & 26 with Owen Carey. (You can read more about Owen on our web page under the Quick Links, Missionaries tab.) Owen shared about the Kingdom of God during his time with us. To simply sum up, the Kingdom of God is manifested in us when our lives are submitted to Jesus Christ. He is the Savior, and King and Lord! Christianity often...

Men's Dinner
We had a wonderful men’s dinner in June with about 30 men. We had a great meal of grilled London broil, rotisserie chicken, stuffed shells, salad, Italian bread and dessert. Then we took 15 minutes and watched a presentation entitled “What is a Manly Man?” It was well received. We are challenged to be a man who walks with Jesus Christ and a man who responsibly cares for his...

Fathers Day Service
We had a wonderful service on Fathers Day. The worship time centered around God our Father who is loving and faithful. Even if some of us did not know our earthly father, we have a Father in heaven who sent His Son to die for our sins and has made believers members of His family. One of the young mothers gave a short word of encouragement to the Fathers and we had a short time of prayer to...

First Sunday of the month service
We had a wonderful service this past Sunday June 5. The worship time centered around the Lord’s faithfulness to us and our determination to worship Him in spite of the bumps along the road of life. After our worship time, we remembered Jesus call for us to take up our cross and follow him. This means we die to our will and live for the will of God. It was also shared that we don’t have...

Sunday Worship and Prayer
We had a wonderful meeting on Sunday Morning, May 29. Our worship time focused on God’s faithfulness and his miracle working power. Since we completed four days of prayer and fasting for the sick, we asked if anyone had a testimony. Five people shared how God answered prayer for them or for a family member. We dismissed the children for Sunday school classes and asked if anyone present would...

Power Through Prayer!
We are into our 4 days of prayer and fasting time for healing the sick. The meetings have enjoyed a powerful presence of God and Spirit led praying. We begin with two worship songs and then take some time as a group to pray general prayers of thanksgiving and guidance for prayer. We then ask all who are sick to sit on the platform and everyone else to gather around them and pray. Then we take time...

We sang Chris Tomlin’s new version of How Great Thou Art, Shout to the North and the South, Jesus We Celebrate Your Victory and other songs in this theme. There was opportunity for many individuals in the...

God Is Love!
We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 This wonderful encouragement was shared by Lynda C.  during our Worship time a few weeks ago. Enjoy. We are God’s children! When we truly see that, we better understand the nature of our relationship with our heavenly Father. Think about what our children mean to us, the love we have for them. When my daughter and son-in-law decided to start their...
